Forever Mom

Even though I cannot see your face my son, how are you?
Are you getting enough sleep?
Are you eating right?
A lot has happened, as you know.
We are taking it one day at a time.
There are a few moments that are good, but as you know I'm having a lot of difficult ones.

I miss you
I wonder if it's cold. Do you have a jacket?
If it is warm, do you have something to drink?
I know these are all mom things, what, do you expect for this to stop just because I cannot see you right now? No mom things never stop.
Your brother has a great job now. I know you both at times, thought each other a pain, but, all in all I know you both loved each other.
Personally, I think at times, you both did things, just to make me crazy lol. But, again, that is a mom thing.
I love you, but you know that. Not a day has gone by since you were born, that I have not said it, shown it by my actions, written it to you, or sung it to you.
You carry my love with you wherever you go. That is a mothe's gift to her child and mine to you.
I know you loved me too, for even though I cannot lay my hand upon your face at the moment, I feel your love in my heart.
Remember me telling you once, when I was crying over something you did, that mommy cries for she is happy. Well mommies do that.
As I sit here with tears filling my eyes, I want you to know Donnie, I will always be proud of you.
A mother has pride for her children. I will always believe in you.
A mothers belief in her child, is a bond not broken by time or space.
I will always like the person you became.
A mother watches her child develop into the person they will be and helps them through the process of growing up.
I will always miss you, for a mom always wants her children to be near her. But most of all, I will always love you. I loved you the day I first saw you, and I will love you til the moment I will see you again.
I know that if I sit here and listen, I will hear you say, " I love you, Mom ". Then you will say " I gotta go, for you are always busy. I will say, " Go ahead then, and I will have a bittersweet laugh, for you have always been an energy all to yourself.
But I know at the end of the day, no matter what, you will always be my son and I will always be your mother.
My love to you, my son, is forever. I love you and miss you so much Donnie.
