The Diamond (Poetry)

While others sit in empty pews
and miss their ride to other views

a diamond sneaks up to my ear
and whispers words that make me veer

how can this diamond make this sound
be heard by one who stays unbound?

this draw so strong it tests endure
you raise the bar, create the pure

the diamond says you found an ear
in words alive that have no fear

it's inside out for all to see
this gift, a route, do stay with me.
