Domestic Dispute
Greg Lanier 1962 (Atlanta, GA)
Cloths lay crushed on the bedroom floor,
In disarray from the night before
And I ask myself,
“What’s wrong with me?”
As I pull my boot from the shattered TV
Tempered anger,
Such a vicious thing
You throw a strike
I take a swing
And when the game has finally waned
All is lost
No victor named
The epitaph of this display?
A broken house...
...in disarray
