I stand on the foot of a mountain
There are thousands of steps to climb
Today’s the day I start my ascent
Preparing for weariness ahead
I do not know if I will finish
I do not care if I reach the top
My one desire is to be satisfied
That the journey was worth the effort
That no matter where I stop along the way
I am happy with the choice I made
