Bigot

E.S. Conway 1985 (United Kingdom)

Hey there mr Bigot
Seeing with your mind
Perceiving what you wish
Not believing what you find

Seeing is a sense
But eyes don't mean you see
Seeing is believing
But believing isn't free

Costs are paid in stress
A true test of your worth
Battles waged with friend and foe,
Wars fought over earth

Because your eyes are open
But your mind, it does not see
Your minds eye is closed to life
And your life a travesty

This is also the reason for so much rhyming; though not necessary for poetry, it was part of what made poetry therapeutic for her and so is an almost certain constant. more…
