The car wash is not so bad

Vivian Timmins 1955 (United States)

Here I am at the car wash
Playin' gin rummy
Parked in the dark feeling like a dummy. This position I'm in makes me uncomfortable makes me feel crummy
Because I'm all alone, no longer have a home.
Everywhere I go I feel out of place, stick out like a sore thumb, my emotions are numb.
I feel like a loser, even tho I'm not. My friends are amazed by the strength I've got. They ask how can I do it, and how you really blew it. They have big words waiting for you. Words unkind, they are going to give you a piece of their mind.
If I could drive back to our home, I would turn around, because I'm better off here playing gin rummy, if I went back to you, I'd really be a dummy.
Guess the car wash isn't so bad, it's just different than what I once had.

Lost my son when he was 22. My daughter is wicked & hateful. I cut her from my life. I live in novato california, it's a very hard time to be left alone. My pain& anger is a lot of what I write, to vent, this way I avoid confrentation which leads to no where. Not when dealing with people that do not know how to communicate and are not concerned about you, only concerned with themselves and the outcome they want at that given moment. Selfish, self centered, too immature to take responsibility for their actions. On paper I write what I'm feeling and there are no reprocussions for saying how I see it or feel it & the numbskulls just keep going round and round with their lack of ability to handle situations calmly and move past their limited thinking. As for me, I like to listen, I like to grow, be open to what's outside the box and not be ignorant. In this world we live in, there is no excuse for ignorance. We are in the information age. more…
