Sekwed Wrods

Teshe wrods are sekewd and tiwtesd,
But how am I slitl raednig?
Iv’e neevr lernaed tihs lganugae;
How culod I konw its mneiang?

We need mcuh lses tahn we may tnihk.
The Frsit and Lsat mkaes all dstiicnt.
For God gvies jsut waht we rqeurie,
To tsrut His Wrod wehn tinhgs look drie.

--

But why wn’ot He be claer
And tlel me waht to do?
I wnat to konw His wlil
But hvane’t got a cule.

All tohse who tihsrt for waht is rghit
The Lrod wlil qcuneh, wtih mcuh dlegiht.
And thugoh He otefn mkaes us wiat,
His prfecet tminig’s nveer ltae.

And how cluod God be cairng
If He hlods bcak waht is good?
And why dn’ot rgiheteuos preayrs
Get asnwreed as tehy suhlod?

We tihnk we konw how lfie shluod run
And otefn pary “our wlil be dnoe,”
But God konws eevry snigle otcuome
And olny acts in loivng wsdiom.

So if tihs God is loinvg
And sekieng my own gian,
Tehn why wulod He alolw
Lfi’es srorow, sin, and pian?

Wlel, all hvae snined, so all msut die;
Not one is falwlses in God’s eye.
Wtih eivl gnoe, w’ed daispepar,
So tnhak the Lrod He kepes us hree.

And why wuold I be gatreufl
To a God taht bnrigs me tarils?
He colud hvae mdae me falwelss,
So I’d hvae ednlses simles.

Cuase pfercet suols aern’t drwan to God,
But ftahfiul men are awalys fawled.
For hradhsips darw us taowrds our maekr,
But silnses men dno’t need a svaoir.

--

Tehse tnihgs I cnaont fthaom;
His wyas are so ucnealr.
I’ve got so mnay quseiotns,
But I’m trpaepd in duobt and faer.

Not one can see form God’s prespcevtie,
But he olny deos waht’s msot efefcitve.
So trsut taht God is in cnortol,
Wehn lfie semes sekwed inidse yuor suol.
