Uncomfortable Truths

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Uncomfortable truths,
Have become more feared.
With many wishing to prevent,
The presence of truth pursued...
As an offense against,
All that has been lived...
Pretentiously.

And this,
In the year 2021...
May be the beginning,
That shocks to awaken everyone...
Stunned to discover and find,
Disbeliefs to easily ignore.
Had actually been for them reality.

But were convinced.
Made to believe.
Paying the price to avoid truth,
Would ultimately be...
A wise investment.

Leaving them to receive,
The empty benefits of fraud.
The sleaze of corruption.
And deception.
Satisfying their everyday pleasures.
Worthy to a quality of life,
To anticipate, expect and get!
