Disadvantages

We grow from birth,
Fortunately to live...
In a society offering,
A wealth of varity...
Of choices to choose.
Although...
Those choices to choose,
Are mostly marketed.
With values to place a worth on them.
And...
What that worth means to us,
To obtain in things possessed.

We grow from birth to assess.
Ourselves to others.
Everywhere.
Yet...
Not as human beings to share.
What we have learned to experience.
Done to promote,
Understanding to comprehend...
This opportunity to us given.
Free.

Not to recognize this to be,
Disadvantages to welcome it.
Openly discussed to have them go!

And as we grow from birth to age,
More wished to miss...
To have gone ignored.
Is the value of our lives not prioritized,
Has been the quality of it.
To accept and believe,
Our investment in things...
And not people.
Expresses a success.
More to our benefit than less.
Yet...
Not to feel it still leaves us,
Unsatisfied.
Identified as to why.
But difficult it is to find the words.
Regardless how free,
Those words to hear can be spoken!
