Masked up

Grace Okon 1973 (Warri)

Shelter in place they say but what if I’m misplaced.
Quarantine used to be a word no one  wanted to be associated with. Now it’s closer and more familiar than relatives.
Introverts rejoice for a chance to once more abide in their cocoons.
Extrovert despair as their worst nightmare begins. What to do with all that time.
The world is locked up yet no crime committed.
A masked up face a norm admitted.
Forever this change will see all submitted.
A pandemic no cure insisted.
