If Only Women Were...

Royston 1946 (Reading)

If only women were not so admirable
then I would not find them so desirable
and I'd not be tempted to go astray
whenever a pretty woman passed my way.

If only women were not so beautiful
then I'd behave and not be undutiful.
Life would not be hard and difficult
and there'd be far less trouble and tumult.

If only women were not so attractive
and my testosterone was far less active
then when the butterflies came out to play
I would walk on and look the other way

If only women were not so darn pretty
then I'd live a life of devotion and fidelity
and stay upon that straight and narrow path
behaving myself and not acting so daft.

... But then life would be so BORING and not much fun
