Momma

Momma

You've shown such love , in different times
Through all the good and bad
Your aging eyes , still see the grace
When we are looking sad
Your heart still feels the endless warmth
When times in life are cold
Your soul , it so enlightens us , as we are growing old
Your touch is still as healing , as it was , when I was young
You've shown me such devotion , from the womb where I was sprung
You hear my cries , through all life's noise
Because it is your will
And as I lay and ponder thoughts , you help me to be still
I long to be the truth you've told , when kids are by my side
And share the story of my life , when happy and when I cried
And share with them , this simple thought , that I alone still know
That Motherhood , is such a gift , that you gave me long ago

Love you Momma … TommyD
