My demons come out
Mischievous and malcontent
The chaos they sew is home

After dark
The bottle is broken
Repressed emotions are magnified
Eventually stuffed for a later date

After dark
My intelligence is piqued
Dissertations are discussed
New revelations always welcomed

After dark
Awaits more darkness
Feelings of despair
The only way to tell you’re alive

After dark
My vision sharpens
All I want is crystal clear
All I have is nothing

After dark
My feet dangle
My wrist bleeds
My heart stops
After dark
