The eulogy

Eric Gerton
the eulogy
here lies a soul may we put him to rest. he tried to do good but his heart he refused to invest. at best he had a nice smile. but this body never let go of the heart as a child. shiftless they called him no true desire. A fistful of nothing so nothing he admired. happiness, i don't think he ever wanted it. because everytime he was asked to drink from a kings cup he was sure to fumble it. No self confidence so when he spoke he mumbled a bit. No one to love because love don't love nobodies, so what did he do love nobody.Plenty knew his name but few knew him for who he is. Before he died he only had one wish. for Eric to emerge and spread the word that he was a good guy. As a tear falls from my eye im trying to explain we are the same. Not meaning just similar i mean i knew his pain. His heart would beat and i would feel it,but im glad to say good riddance. The no count son of a hmm let me stop. All im saying is that that bastard held me back from reaching the top,but i did love the dude i guess we were cool.Damn he was so dumb in the decisions he would make, then have the nerve to complain he couldn't catch a break.naw he broke me and my mama down.im not gonna cry i just hope hell be happy. i know those that love eric will be extatic.because gert made life tragic.so don't morn the death celebrate the new life because now its i can do anything instead of i cant do nothing right.may the lord look after him because i know we sure are tired. now if you really knew him you knew life would not take him far.so sprinkle his ashes and say good bye to his black ass. im ready to live there are no more excuses. he had all the talent in the world but would not use it.so im telling you that if you knew gert go ahead and let him go.after all its eric he really wanted you to know. so don't worry heaven has a spot for him although at times i wished he would burn in hell. every relationship he ever had failed. so he died a lonely person you could tell he was hurting. but with the death of gert i proudly present to you eric lamont gerton.
