A Black Flower

A black flower upon a white stem,
A course cough ejecting phlegm,
A yellow leak from within your ear!
How can I begin this letter, "dear"?
And how can I end it, "yours"?
As sweat from your arm pits pours,
And a rebellious tuft upon your head stands,
Nourished from your fertile hands.
An over whelming warmth of moistened feet,
And overlapping chin recording that you eat!
And how can I call you by name,
That you differ so from those of the same?
Colour blinded this black flower may appeal
Your loveliness my sobriety can only feel.
