We Must

We must!
You and me.
Along with everyone else,
Come to agree.
Impossible it is to believe,
A judging a book by its cover...
Reveals,
The contents in it.
Without it to open.
Yet...
Perceive to believe,
We are familiar with the details.

Marketed to sell that book sold,
Is a device used...
To attract attention to it.
Based upon and rated,
On appearance alone.
Paying the price of its distribution.
And the cost of the overhead,
From where the marketing...
Had been selected to appease,
A picked demographic.

We must!
You and me,
Come to agree...
To read that book.
From cover to cover.
Page to page.
And every chapter in it.

Then...
Discuss together,
What has been written to say.
Without reading between the lines.
Hoping to find,
An intention to define.
No one can admit,
Inside a book to have read.
Found to discover,
Worthy to censor.
Or...
Diminish.
To nonsense limited.
By those unconscious of facts.
Restricted and deluded,
To allegations gossiped.
And the popularity,
A selling of B.S. often gets.
Sold and bought well.
As a marketing expectation!

'I read them from cover to cover.
Inside and out.
From top to bottom.
To discover for myself,
What they had been really about!'

Really?
Them who?

'The people.
People different from others.
Isn't that what you are talking about?'

No?
That was not the assignment.
However...
Your proactive activities,
Is a discussion...
We should and must include,
In our observations...
From this day forward.

'OH!
So...
You were actually talking about,
A book?'

YES!
I thought it was made clear,
None of us...
Should  be reading between the lines!
Although...
I do understand you point of view.
Congratulations.

You have mentioned,
Yet something else.
Together we can...
Allow ourselves to do!
As a must to comprehend.
Hopefully to achieve collectively,
A wisdom that seems...
Too elusive to accomplish it.

'Well...
It has always been said,
God works in the most...
Mysterious of ways.'

I am not into religion!

'Neither am I.
Too commercialized it is!
