My Dear Wise One

From the middle of the room,
it was here, he told me,
where my life regained purpose.

Not to worry, nor to hurry
But to take time and
to do things right

For he was a wise man and
knew all, not did
he hide secrets of life away

Amazement we felt of
his stories of being a lad,
the same we did as we came of age
