Wont You Remember?

silent tears uncoming
sorrow has no escape
the tunnel has no end
darkness shatters our relationship where sunshine never grew in the heart
pain exquisitely produced through suffering
sorrow has no channel or arrival
sorrow, a dark wall,
horses, lovers, sorrow
another life another world
forgotten never to be heard from again
pity and remorse
sorrow unforgiving and unheard because he wasn't in the right
unless you are forgiving, understanding, merciful and right, you are never heard.
villans go to hell, children are alright until they become villans
it doesn't matter though everything is alright
nothing is important until you lose your laughter and energy to mourning and sorrow
now everything is important
by then it is too late
her head falls into the counter and her pistol feels the floor
sorrow and darkness are all over her counter and her floor drains her blood
nothing is important when you are over
all over your floor
forgotten unless you remind her her pain is real
but who is there to listen?
her floor? the counter?
no one cares
sorrow, pity, embarrassment,
i cant cry anymore they took my heart i know not how
i do
i cant think straight though. not anymore
everything was alright until they cursed me with their problems they never finished
casting their burdens into their fire for me to collect their ashes to carry through my life
only forgetting as they suffer no more
now they remember, her head on the floor
all their ashes all over her floor
scattered like roses on a grave
now on her
corpse
now you remember
your suffering now in vain
her life is over
you forgot how to suffer
she remembered for you
now her life is over
so is yours
wont you remember?

your pain now hers to remember
forever in her dark cold bathroom floor
until you remember her life is almost over
do me a favor, remember and suffer
or somebody else will
remember and suffer
for you
forever

Cole Taylor

This is a poem about abuse. "hurt people hurt people" no one is crazy. No one is absurd. only victims of our environments and hopeful people will shed light in our lives where we can't ourselves. to the parents who forgot their pain; please remember and suffer through it or your children will, I promise. more…
