Second chance

Second Chance
On my bed rest I was, fighting for what was left of me
The thought of all the sins I ever did hitting me
All the ambitions that I failed to accomplish
Imagining whom my death will bring joy or sadness
Seeing the loser I was, I was ready to go

With my closed eyes, I could see my past
I was disappointed with my past life
I saw my family, friends and mentor’s faces
Their sympathetic faces chocked me
The thought of a second chance crossed my mind

I was ready to go, when I saw my daughter
Tears rolling down her face
My two younger brothers where there
I then remembered what I was running from
I had to fight back, I had to see them again

I realized that I was drowning
I didn’t know how to come back to reality
I shouted for help and called His name
Deep darkness followed the long shouts
Then I felt soft hands touching my wrist
