Tell Me the Truth

She really didn't like the flowers given to her that night
Complaining to a friend, "He never gets it right!"
He wore the shirt she gave him, though it made him feel like ten
He told someone in his family, "I'll never wear it again."
She liked going to the beach, basking in the sun all day
To him it was a chore, but he'd begrudgingly go anyway.
Asking each other's opinions on matters of the heart
Truth and honesty would really be a great start.
