Your Inflorescence

You are my Ocahui
Blooming every century
I am providential, able to witness your blossoms only once in my lifetime

You have crumbled my parapet
Left it in ruins at my feet
Leaving me defenseless, void of strength to refuse your luxuriate desire

I am powerless in your presence
Helpless as the newborn calf in the wild
Unfit to fend off your enduring beauty and acquiescent yearning

I drink of your inflorescence
Within the dark recess of our private garden
Overwhelmed and intoxicated with a thirst I cannot quench
