I Am A Caterpillar

I am a caterpillar.......
I've inched along in life towards my elevation
Taking what life threw at me and surviving my storms with grace and dignity
Accepting the only love that I thought would be there for me
Being played with to the brink of death
Praying for the sight of a new day
I hid away from the world for sometime trying to find myself and embrace the changes that came into my life
Even while locked away I weathered storms continuing to morph into a better ME
Learning to put ME first and giving myself all the love that I deserved
Alone but not lonely
Seeing the worth others wouldn't see
Respecting my individuality
Embracing being unique
Discovering that I was created to create
And I do it passionately
Emerging with a spirit so bright that the sun has trouble out shining it
Able to explore my world with the wonder of newly born eyes
Soaring to higher heights
With each beat of my beautiful wings
Gliding towards my goals with determination and the efficiency to meet, then succeed in accomplishing each one
Gaining what I shall pass on, Wisdom
Elegant in motion, poetry will be written abt me
Children will imitate me
Art will be made picturing me
And with my image Love will bloom
And I will adorn the lives of many
Lifting spirits, bringing on a smile
Healing hearts
For I was once a caterpillar inching my way thru life until I decided to change
Now a magnificent butterfly I will remain
