something hidden

Spent my life looking, in circles I'd go
The wrong ones I'd find, and not wanna let go
Years passed mostly wasted, so many wrong ones
Thought forever was tasted, all just lovely short runs
I saw you while not looking, you knew something I didn't
Our past weaved with crossings, you knew something hidden
Then doors closed tightly, you opened my eyes
Now I see, I was so unwise
Thank you for staying, when I pushed you away
My life is now ours, my heart won't ever stray
