Epiphany: The Heart of My Drumline

My heart beats the cadence
Of Your rhythm for the breath of life
And like a battery it gives life
Energetically driven raising the stakes to new heights

From the pulsating thump of the bass
Which courses through every vein
To the versatile style of the snare
Holding the tone on it's own and stroking certain,
But specific parts of my main frame

The complexity in the vulnerability
Of your dynamic rhythmic pattern
Simplistic is the groove which soothes
My raging matter

The shape of the sound penetrating and
Forming waves, into the deepest parts of my emotions
And taking a rest on the depths of
The roots of my commotion

Synchronizing the pace and finding a place
Right in the pocket like a moat
Syncopating and disciplining the ride with
Every quarter, eighth, and sixteenth note

The timing of correspondence throughout every Exchange, were like never-ending conversations and
Famous existing life quotes

Corroborates every lyrical deviation to participate, and
To take part, and rise afloat
Collaborations in every session of all sections,
Arousing joy and signifying great pleasure

Bringing about completion, stimulation, and utter Elation, to the totality of my soul and well-being
A revelation, relaxation, and transformation to what was
Once indescribable, now has true meaning
