But darlin' I still want you

What if I did confess?
Told him, I love everything he says.
Thinking 'bout how he'd react;
Would he ever say it back?

What if I did confess?
Told him, I'll be the diary to all his secrets.
Maybe he did feel what I felt;
But I'm scared to hear "I'm sorry I can't say it back."

What if I did confess?
Told him all my thoughts of 3 A.M;
And I make things awkward with all that I felt,
Because he'd tell me I was just a friend.

What if I did confess?
Told him, he was the answer to all my mess.
And I ruin what we already have;
Because i know he won't say it back.
