I Await Your Laughter

Sparkle has taken up residence within your eyes. Dancing brightly with each smile that parts your lips. Brilliant effulgence when your laughter erupts without warning.

Your laughter cuts through the air as a Katana slices through a silk scarf dropped across it's blade. You may take my last breath from me, but don't take away your laughter.

Your burst of joy and laughter rises up, searching for my ears to listen, beckoning me to open the door to my heart and listen to it's calling in full force.

I await your laughter like Mother Nature awaits the flowers of spring to arrive. Patiently watching, waiting for the blooms to appear, blossoming in full, a myriad of color overwhelming the senses.

Laugh with the people. Laugh with the world. Laugh with the young boy wrapped in the wrinkles of the aging man who waits patiently, anxiously, for the next laugh from you.
