My Island

Henesy 2004 (Philly)

I am from the island of enchantment.
Where the palm trees grow.
I am were the coquis sing.
And where the moon shines bright,
I can almost remember every night
I can remember the times,
When I used to climb  the palm trees
Outside of my welas house
Or the times when I fell.
One thing I will never forget is the song my wela sang,
When I would cry because I hurt myself.
Sana sana colita de rana
(Healthy Healthy frog tail)
Si no sanas hoy
(If you dont heal today)
Sanaras mañana
(You will heal tomorrow.)
I will always have the Island in my heart.
No matter how many miles apart.
THIS.IS.ME.AND.MY ISLAND.
 And I LOVE it.
