Her smile

How can I find pleasure
in looking at her unhappy face
knowing I can change it.

I'd rather be her reason
to fully embrace it,
a smile unlike my own.

Like sun is to morning,
a light of wonder
waking up our world.

I come alive
every time I see her
with a smile like no other.
