Ancient

Darren C Swartland 1994 (Johannesburg)

As the ruins lay piled with dust
nonchalantly footsteps bypass as
cultures are lost in desolate mud.
Indigenous people trade their past,
evolving with modern amenities to
nurture interest in the unfamiliar
Taking forgranted what was sacred.
