We Taste What Spews Forth

The sky.
Trembling fault lines.
Open doors.
A melody of sores,
Some rotten,
Some are forgotten.
Someone with the begotten Son.
Out spews lava.
Out shakes plates.
Out spews volcanic flakes.
The core spews forth.
What we taste
Is what we're worth.
Will we be glitter
Or be bitter?
Will we taste butter
Or what makes us shudder?
The fault line shakes
Volcanic breaks.
A fit is lit.
Don't sit
In a volcanic pit.
The house shakes,
The people run,
The injured cry.
The gates of heaven sigh.
Don't be a victim
Like a canceled sitcom,
But rise above the rest,
Overcome the test.
What comes out of us
Will be clear
When a calamity
Comes to rout us out
Is near.
We will cry Jesus is Lord
And every knee
Will fall.
