We were Friends

Sean^45 2000 (Limpopo)

Used to feed me fruits,
tell me lies for you were good,
told stories about our love
needed your touch instead of bedtime stories

worshiped the ground you walked on,
adored every breath you took,
like a fool i was eluded by your teeth
praised every bone on your body

you were sneakier than a thief,
trickier than a scammer
and still more deceiving than any miscreant
yet i still thought you walk on water

warned about you yet i persevered
forbidden from your touch, i went for more
told about your tricks but i wasn't a believer
sold on your beauty i stuck around
