Our Mom

How can we let go of our mom whom we’ve loved so long?
Our mom who has always been there to help us weather the storm.

Sacrifices many she has made and felt,
to raise us as best she could with life’s cards she’d been dealt.

In our worse or at our best, she loved us just the same.
She taught us unconditional love, simple and plain.

Even now she would say, don’t cry.
For I know, in you, my memories will never die.

Can we let go of our mom, forevermore to part?
I tell you no, no, never, for she lives within our hearts.
