Untitled

There are many thing in life
That bring me joy
But one above all else
You came into my life
A light of beauty and love
You shined on me and showed me love
When life was dark
The time wasn't right
We went separate ways
But kept coming back
Fate was pushing
The time was right
We became lover's and friends
In love we were
Together our souls intertwined
We became whole
The years went by
Complacency set in
And bitterness came
Now we are at the fork
And choices made
Both are hard
I know my choice
I chose your love
To be how it was
Not complacent
To bare my heart
So you can see
My true love
For you
My heart
I protected and didn't
Show
Since finding you
It changed and I was
Afraid
My heart had been
Broken
Many times before
But finding you
Changed it
It's not what it was
So here it is
My heart you see
Is you and will always be
