I Prayed for Love

I wasn't sure , what I should do
When love escaped me , through and through

What did I do , to be so sad
And not live life , that other's had

Alone one night , I bent my knees
And ask the Lord , to help me please …

Send someone who , would help my life
And lead me through , this world of strife

So many moments , I seemed to cry
As years and years , appeared to fly

And then came time , He blessed my soul
With fervent love , that took control ...

And showed me that , He saw my tears
Through all those times , and all the years

The hope that I , have found in you
Has blessed my spirit , I'm anew

I find myself , on bended knee
As God my witness , blesses me

And as I now , walk down the isle
My friends and family , see my smile

But little do , they understand
As you with me , do hold my hand

That once I did , look up above
With longing heart , I prayed for love
