"Late night thoughts"

Another night I stay awake

My fragile mind continues to break

The anxiety returns to me once more

But surely I should know whats in store

My vision blurs & body grows weary

The looks of judgement from the leery

Shall find their place within my mind

And do destruction in their time

They tell me to write "It'll help you release"

When overall all I want is peace

Free my soul from this curse

And let me live for one more verse

Simple words may fail to say

The things that haunt me throughout the day

So once more I stop and try to write

Maybe this time I'll win the fight

Maybe then I can rest and catch my breath

And enjoy this life no fear of death

Perhaps then I can stop worrying

And slow my pace and stop hurrying

I know this all may seem cliché

But its the only way that I can say

How I feel without any guilt

Ans tear down the fortress that I've built

Open up just one more time

And trust this time that I'll be fine

Peace and clarity is what I desire

Intimacy and love with passionate fire

A partner who knows me for who I am

Perfect peace no sight of a jam

Nothing to hide, and nothing to chance

My soul will be free, no longer in this trance

Maybe then I can smile and be confident

And finally leave a legacy, a lasting imprint

This life will pass, we all will die

With hopes of soaring high in the sky

So now you know just why I write

Why I push myself on and continue to fight

For a reason there is but one

To ensure success when the journey is done
