"My safe place"

Many people have a place to go

To try and dodge the curveballs life will throw

Some people use drugs & some people drink

Hoping to stop the pain so they dont have to think

Some will always run and others will hide

They'll do whatever to escape the pain inside

I stay in my head and many will disagree

But you can't judge me yet you dont know the whole story

There's a reason I keep it all locked away

Because nobody wants to care at the end of the day

They always say that they truly care

But there words fly by like dust in the air

Everyone has their own battles to fight

They dont always have time to make sure you're alright

So once again Im stuck here left all alone

A drifter in the wind, a heart without a home

Here for but a moment then gone without a trace

Where am I you may ask? Back in my safe place.
