Love Lives to Tell Another Story
Ronald-Bunch 1982 (Grand Rapids)
Rain to muddy puddles.
Love to murky troubles.
I find my way
On a rainy day.
A play all wet,
I’m very upset.
No glee under a tree.
To wait until not wet.
I sigh as the leaves dry,
My clothes are soaking wet.
I try not to fret,
I place my new clothes in a set,
My old I threw in a backpack,
It's caught in a net.
Now I’m clean and dry.
My shoes I tie.
I rest until the rains die.
Now I have a new play to write.
Inky smears.
I sigh at the tears,
To all of my fears,
To the ones I love,
Even to die,
I write this new play
Titled: The Rain Killed It
But Love Lives to Tell Another Story,
And evenly I cry.
