About Gout

Ray Hoover 1956 (WI)

Had it out in a bout with gout.
Hit me with a rain of pain
Stinging, searing, stumbling, stubborn
Tylenol, Advil Advil, Tylenol Tylenol, Advil.
Right hook. Left shook. Might took.
Down then up, then down again
Pounding, pummeling, punching pain
Wilted, wounded, worried, worn.
Colchicine in round fifteen—
Needed. Kneed kneaded knee.
Finally free,
I had it out in a bout with gout.
