The Lost Gem

Pranjal 2004 (Zirakpur)

Was I ever a child
Dancing, singing in the rain, lost in the wild
Life was full of love, love to eat
When lost didn't recognise

No children no home
King of our own throne
Our problems were not our own
Dependent but with full independence

Someone scolded and apologised
Just to see a little wide smile
No talks about horor scope Or good fate
Small things made heart skip a happy beat

Now it do rain but forgot how to dance
Did I ever sung looks strange
I love to eat but love is banned
Still remember food in my mother's lovely hands

Growing older made me realise
Ignoring problems is the best advice
No kings only servants serving
Independent but dependant on family's
Choice

Where's state of euphoria, everyone loves giving sorrow
A thunderstorm in heart and head
A life full of responsibilities at each and every step
Where's my childhood lost make me distressed
