Addiction

In this darkness I dwell
I love this drug
That gives me hell
It takes my life
I think I'm free
It makes me blind
To what I need
It makes me numb
It makes me weak
It's taking over
All of me
I cant express the anger I have
I cant remember why I'm mad
I close my eyes and try to see
But this drug I love is killing me
Its taken my sight
Its taken my soul
Its taken my life
And turned me cold
Its put weight on all that I love
And taken my faith
From the good Lord above
Wouldn't you think
That was enough
To confess my sins
And be freed from this drug
My eyes are heavy
My veins are weak
My heart is empty
As I fall to my knees
I close my eyes
I bow my head
I try to remember
What prayers should be said
Do you see my down on my knees
Do you hear me
As I screen out to the
My faith is shaken
My soul is weak
I need you dear God
To strengthen me
Ive walked through the darkness
And felt so alone
Ive given up everything
Ive ever known
Do you see me lord
I'm still on my knees
This drug I love
Is killing me
I need you Lord
To come down from above
And strengthen my soul
with all of your love
My heart is heavy
I know I have sinned
Please hear my prayer
For this is my end
As I kneel here
So lost and alone
I know In my soul
You are my home
My mind starts racing
My heart beats slow
My soul is shaking
For now I know
In this darkness
I'm No longer alone
Youve come to tell me
I'm not ready for home
I know your here Lord
Right next to me
You give me the strength
To stand to my feet
To raise my hands
And pray out to the
For I once was lost
But now I see
The light of the lord
Shines bright through me
I can feel your presence
From my head to my feet
The Lord our god
Is working in me
He loves me so much
He has set me free
The drug I once loved
Means nothing to me
My mind is clear
My soul is free
Thank you Jesus
For dying for me .
