Place of Prey

Linda k Wells 1961 (Ca)

Place of Prey

He soars at a height only others of his kind can fly returning to a place of prey that so many times has filled his hunger

He will perch upon a cable above his place of prey with but little movement he watches for the prey that will fill his growing hunger

With eyes that do not miss the slightest movements he sees his prey and watches as it moves right beneath him

In a dive he lands upon his prey squeezing with his mighty talents, he then fills his hunger leaving nothing lay to waste,

As he takes flight from the sky you can hear his proud hawk scream of a promise to return upon another day for now his hunger has been filled from his place of prey.
