The Ex

Maybe you don’t understand….
that when I say I’m through, I’m through.
I’m unhappy with this relationship and honestly,
I can’t stand you.
When you use to ask “who’s the man?”
I’d automatically say, “Baby, you know it's you".
Situations have changed,
and things are no longer the same.
I don’t feel chills anymore,
whenever someone says your name.

That is why you are the Ex
And No I DO NOT wish you the best

You’re just a blurry vision that I can no longer embrace.
I’m not even excited anymore.
You're useless and just taking up space.
When I think of the pleasure you once brought,
I feel as though I’m insane.
The only emotion you bring me now,
is filled with so much pain.
You use to hold me close,
and I’d pray you’d never let me go.
I use to love you more than you could ever know.
It’s time for me to start over;
it’s time to go a different route.
I no longer need you in my life,
with you, I can do without.
