A Lesson on Life

TommyD 1957 (Ft. Lee)

A Lesson on Life

Life is a function , we're all going through
The hope of believing , that breath gets us through

Another day gone , and another anew
Transition of compounds , come streaming now through

Since primordial beginnings , life , it has changed
And leaves us to wonder , if we are deranged

Can I now find meaning , to my world at this time
While learning the lesson's , the flow of life's rhyme ?

The earth does now spin , on the axis it lives
And makes us to wonder , how much do we give …

Of time's stark beginning , and how our time ends
To make most of what , our God does intend

While explaining to those , is a difficult task
Expounding the reason , through the questions they ask

Confusion , delusion , the issues at hand
Does now complicate , explanation of man

Are we on this planet , presumed as a speck
In the moments of time , that we now recollect ?

Life it just seems , has always been tested
Complexity details , views are arrested

One day we will find , as our thoughts comprehend
Our questions now answered , when life and death blend
