Where Is Heaven? ~ Sept. 10, 2020

They say that in Heaven, there are streets of gold.
Where do I start when listening to stories of old?
Where do I go when peace and solace I need?
Can one find me when I'm in a land of noble deeds?
Heaven, they say is not of this world down here
Yet Heavenly moments are those I hold dear.
Where is Heaven, my friend on the hearth?
I, my dear, believe it's on Earth.
When they say that life is hard, cold, and dreary
Just remember that it shouldn't be taken so seriously.
When you feel a joy in your very soul,
Look no farther because then you know
Heaven is right here inside of your world
And never forget that it never gets twisted or twirled
Where is Heaven, my friend on the hearth?
I, my friend, believe it's here on Earth.
When at last you find the peace you seek,
Remember the wisdom you had at your lowest peak.
Heaven is with you wherever you go,
Way up there or down here below.
So when they ask you, "Where is Heaven?"
Respond I say, "Right here, my friend."
