2020/10/01 ~ October Is Here

October is here.

Candy's flow never ceasing,
leaves of color are constantly swirling.
Breezes are always dancing in,
    chilling everybody beneath the skin.
Pumpkins and Jack-o-lantern
light up the nights all month long.
Fields of corn, corn mazes surround,
keep going through them until they're all gone.
With pumpkin pies and pumpkin spices
everything seems to be the nicest.
Country dances and parties,
    bonfires and cookouts,
This is what many live for
    in the month of October.
Hunting parties, backwoods dedication,
the time of year where everybody can keep from starvation.
Deer grazing from your hands,
    squirrels flitting through the treetops,
Shotguns, rifles, bows, and knives ready,
preparing the wild game for the tables.

October is here.
