~ To the Man I See ~

As the rivers of white water does flow eventually into lakes
You're sweet cherry flavor lips will melt into my mouth, I do not fight
The strength of you're arms around me, fills my hopes and wants
You're face is all I see, but behind it lay memories I can't shake

It is you, and all feelings that I write
From the drops of sweat that bead down you're back
To the shores of the heat and the blistering sun
You held me from it rays, and waited to carry me off into the night

It is you that takes away my pain, and gives me love I do not lack
As the stars we don't see in the brightness of day, their still there
Can I believe in something I don't see...I can only feel them in my soul
It is like fresh air that I breathe it takes me inside of you, as I dare

What could take you're place...I thought about that once, and I was scared
Like a mountain top without the sky, without the clouds
Without the touch, I felt so cold, I opened my eyes, you're eyes I see
I write to you, only you, I took a key opened my heart forever starting now

Yvonne Sensing

I've been writing since I was a kid...I enjoy putting thoughts onto paper it's like clearing out my mind. I'm not saying I'm good, but I try. Still I write, but the thoughts in my head get jumbled and it all comes out wrong. I know what I want to say, I hope it comes out that way. Anyway, I still write maybe to leave a little piece of me behind. Not here to cause trouble or be a hero. I am a kind person with a big heart and I only do what makes me feel good. Poetry happens to make me very happy and joyful. Sharing my most inner thoughts makes me a target it seems, with folks that don't like me. I assure I am not a hater, but I will stand up for myself for what's right and true. This site has made me feel like were all family and here for each other not a place to bicker and fight among us, but to enjoy each others work with respect and love. Please understand I am not here to cause problems, I am here for the same reasons you are. more…
