~ I Will Let It Be ~

All I have are yesterdays sorrows
I have come this far with loss of any tomorrows
I can hear his voice calling from his soul
Chills my spirit, flesh, and bone
I will let it be, God is calling to me

Sitting on a golden moon, I suffocate
My soul is on fire with no shade
Feels like I'm not awake
Shattered in one stroke, broke into a million pieces
This space is black as the darkest skies
Recieved the worst news of my life
I will let it be, God is calling to me

He was the stone in the wall
I could jump from it, and he would catch my fall
Shedding tears into the bottom of a waterfall
He took my wings so I can't fly
My world has stopped spinning by
In slow motion it seems, and all I can do is cry
I will let it be, God is calling to me

Love was like a million drops of rain
Billions of stars left in wane
I've said my last goodbye
My husband was the last to cry
Only because he had to leave me behind
I will let it be, God is calling me

Nothing can take this pain away
I know he was taken by choice
There's nothing else to say,
 he has taken my voice
He is the stone in the wall
He will still catch me when I fall
I will let it be, God is calling me

Yvonne Sensing

I've been writing since I was a kid...I enjoy putting thoughts onto paper it's like clearing out my mind. I'm not saying I'm good, but I try. Still I write, but the thoughts in my head get jumbled and it all comes out wrong. I know what I want to say, I hope it comes out that way. Anyway, I still write maybe to leave a little piece of me behind. Not here to cause trouble or be a hero. I am a kind person with a big heart and I only do what makes me feel good. Poetry happens to make me very happy and joyful. Sharing my most inner thoughts makes me a target it seems, with folks that don't like me. I assure I am not a hater, but I will stand up for myself for what's right and true. This site has made me feel like were all family and here for each other not a place to bicker and fight among us, but to enjoy each others work with respect and love. Please understand I am not here to cause problems, I am here for the same reasons you are. more…
