You can't change your past

Rewind my mind - I find my feet
Stepping nervously, into a younger me.
As memory slips on quantum time travel -
back to my centrifugal forced pinpoint,

I see the all the shades of a stupid mistake,
Colour blind decisions BLOCKING my path
Classic Movie memories scowling
at my grand design history lesson.

A much older man (myself) I find…
diving headlong into a timeline.
Buried madness crawls, gasping
from the bolted overgrown crypt.

I keep trying to fix this recycled vomit
toss of a coin glances shoot at the ghost
In the corner... whispering softly...
his lip service defence! evidence
Of his listed perspectives and alternative
specrums of what if’s… and why‘s?

In retrospect - I’d change it all,
to unravel this chain of events
that scrape at my sanity daily.
I try to force thoughts underground
until the lid uncorks itself
and the flood of bile spills its guts.

Mistakes are lessons of instruction!
To learn and enable us to fulfil and grow.
The hologram screams - “see it my way”
but I’m older now and too aware to “see it“.
from his unknowing view point - I’ve watched
The Preview to his life’s forthcoming attractions.

We have got to live together now!

WE CAN’T CHANGE OUR PAST.
