wouldn't it be nice
to be part of a crowd
where no one stands out
no one talking too loud
yes, one of a crowd
yet everyone proud
to be what they are
no matter how scarred
wouldn't it be nice
think of what we could do
not to be one of a few
a person alone
out on their own
no one better than "me"
couldn't you see
how good that would be
wouldn't it be nice
if no one was ill
there were no pills
and the blind could see
and the troubled were free
where the lame could walk
BAH! that 's all just talk
humbug from me
but wouldn't it be nice
but take it from me
it never will be
so let's do what we can
help our fellow man
be glad if it's not you
do all you can do
