Words

Words and words going around in my head
wanting to be heard by the one I love
yet knowing he will never listen
because in his eyes they are just words
for he can not see that our love was meant to be

I wish I could give him my eyes to see
that to me an angel he will always be
for he gave me heaven within his eyes
yet now they are full of sorrow from the pain I hold inside

I wish I could give him my heart so he could feel
that when ever he is near it skips a beat
for he is the rhythm to the beating song it sings
yet now it skips in pain from missing the one it hold so dear

I wish I could give him my head for him to know
that our love is made of pure gold
for it was written in the stars
yet now it just cries out his name

I wish there way away I could make him see
that the connection we share is like no other
for it was our souls that picked each other

I wish I could make him feel
that we can touch each other from afar
for it was my soul that kept him warm
and my lavender he did smell

I wish I could take him on a journey within my mind
for I would show him what I see
two people with gray hairs that stand on their head
sitting in their rockers hand in hand
watching the sunset til the end

oh how I wish I could make him see
that these are not just words I speak
for the love we share is meant to be
if only he would listen to me
